Kids City Recap – Gideon

2 Corinthians 12:10 – When I am weak, then I am strong.

Gideon only needed 300 to change the world.

God sees our full potential.  God created us for a purpose.  He has given each of us skills and talents, and He knows how we should use them.  When we use our God-given abilities and are backed by God’s power, we will find success in any endeavor to which we are called.

  • If God asked you to do something terrifying, what kind of convincing and reassuring would you need?
  • God uses ordinary people, like Gideon and us, every day to do extraordinary things.

Kids City Recap 5.28

“….You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price…” – 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

How much is a person worth?
The price God was willing to pay for you was sending His only Son Jesus to die on the cross for you.  That is the ultimate price anyone could pay – giving their life!  God loves you that much!  Sometimes it’s easy to think maybe you aren’t worth much.  But, THAT ISN’T TRUE!  Jesus proved that by dying on a cross for you!  God raised Him from the dead, and because of that we can have new life as well!

Parents : Read Luke 23:50-24:12

You were bought with a price! You are wanted!

Spiritual Attack

Jesus said, “The thief does not come, except to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). So if there’s stealing, killing, and destroying going on, you can be certain the enemy is at work. Jesus always gives life.

1. The Enemy Brings
Confusion

“God is not the author of confusion, but of peace” (1 Cor. 14:33b). It’s the enemy who darkens, messes with and confuses our minds (see 2 Cor. 4:4). So, when you are hearing many different voices, or feelings pulling you in different directions, stop and be still. God operates in the stillness.

The Holy Spirit may stir you up inside to bring forth a better attitude or new perspective,  but He will never bring you a cloud of confusion.

2. The Enemy brings
Condemnation

“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Rom. 8:1a).
The Holy Spirit is the One who convicts us when we sin and need to be corrected, yet with that conviction brings the hope of restoration. Condemnation and  conviction may look  similar from the outside, but they could not feel more different. One brings life and the other brings death.

You are good enough for another chance. You are worth fighting for. And, you are set free so that you can walk in freedom!
